- Statement

Boundaries of uncertainty were identified using the information on past shoreline change and data sources attached to the FutureCoast transects. Uncertainty was decided using a series of decisions on robustness and reliability of the underlying MHWS datasets, e.g. capture date is older than a threshold year and offset from 2020 position (historic rate x (2020 - baseline year)) is significant. The selected transects based on these decisions were buffered to connect across the swath of adjacent transects and discount underlying assets from final risk assessment.
