Statement

Created with temperature and precipitation data from the UKCP18 modelled climate dataset. Number of extreme drought events were calculated in R using the Standardized Precipitation-Evapotranspiration Index (SPEI) at a 6-month timestep and a threshold of -2sd. This point data was then clipped to the area of Scotland, converted to raster at a 12km resolution and symbolized to create the final output.
