High resolution aerial imagery was used to identify and manually digitise artificial sea front defences (sea walls, harbours, rock armour, gabions) as lines in planform view. Pre-existing coastal defence datasets sourced from participating local authorities (© Dumfries and Galloway Council 2020) were also combined with the manually digitised lines.
