Data derived from salenotes provided by fish buyers and sellers to the UK fishing authorities as required under EU legislation on the Register of Buyers and Sellers. Data is captured for UK vessels wherever they land, and for non-UK vessels when they land into the UK. Data is split proportionally against ICES statistical rectangles, using proportion of catch on logbook or forms required by licence conditions. Scottish seas are defined as those rectangles which intersect Scottish fishery limits defined by the Scottish Adjacent Waters Boundary Order 1999 and where the recorded Exclusive Economic Zone was UK waters.
