LiDAR for Luing - DTM
Commissioned by Luing History Group in 2020, the contract was awarded to Fugro who conducted the survey and processed the data. The survey took place on 9th September 2020 and covered about 20 km². The average point density is about 25 last echoes/sqm.
The Digital Terrain Model (DTM) is at 50cm resolution.
The data was collected for the Slate Islands off the west coast of Scotland offering a complete coverage of Luing and Torsa. A group of small islands to the west including Fladda and Belnahua, as well as the southernmost part of Seil and northern tip of Shuna were also scanned.
